Fish Lake Cabin

Fish lake is an excellent fishing lake located in the Cascade Mountains approximately 1 mile from Lake Wenatchee.  The cabin is on the lake with 100 feet of frontage.  Fish Lake is regularly stocked near the Cove Resort.  The lake contains rainbows, brown, eastern brook trout, perch, small and largemouth bass.  Public access is at the Cove Resort via the boat launch for a nominal fee.  The fishing is very good just about any time of the year.

Most people troll or drift with the wind when fishing for trout.  Pop gear and worms, wedding rings green and red or power bait.  Fly fishing or your favorite bait works fine too.  Trolling at about 1 mph down 10 - 18 feet.  You want to be up from the bottom a foot or two to stay out of the bullhead and sculpin.

The Cove Resort at Fish Lake has a boat launch, store, dock, camping, cabins and boat moorage.  You can rent boats or pontoon boats for the day.  The Cove is just five minutes from the cabin. 

Launch your boat at the beginning of your stay and keep it at your own private dock at the cabin.  You will want to keep your boat on the right side of the dock when looking at the lake (East side) because the wind typically comes out of the Northwest.  I usually drop an anchor to keep the boat off the dock in case the wind changes to the east.
